Important Update Regarding Pastor Gary and Our Worship Ministry
Dear River City Church Family,
I am writing to share some significant news regarding our staff and the future of our ministry here at River City.
After much prayer and counsel, we have made the difficult decision to eliminate the Worship Pastor position. This change was made in an effort to better position the church financially for the future. As a result, Pastor Gary will be transitioning off our staff.
I want to be very clear: Gary has served us faithfully for four years, leading our congregation with a heart for God and a deep love for this community. He is a beloved brother in Christ, and his departure is a significant loss for all of us. While this represents a major change, I am confident that God is leading this transition and has great things in store both for our church and for Gary and his family.
We want to honor Gary’s four years of ministry properly. His last Sunday with us will be April 12th. We will have a special recognition during the service, followed by a reception afterward so you can personally thank him for everything he has done for our community.
We will also be receiving cards for Gary on the 12th. If you are able to bless the family financially as they begin this new chapter, we encourage you to do so that Sunday. Please write any checks directly to Gary Witthoeft. If you would like to give gift cards, the family especially enjoys Chick-fil-A and Chipotle.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we move forward together. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
With grace,
Joe Bell
